TERMS & CONDITIONS for commissions
Please read the following terms and conditions carefully. By placing an order for a personal or commercial project, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to the following information.
ETA/TURNAROUND TIME
My turnaround time is usually fairly fast. Depending on the size of the order, you can expect anywhere from a few days to 1 month to full completion. I will always let you know if anything has come up that will delay your order. Feel free to ask me for a specific time for your commission as well and I will do my best to give you an accurate estimate.
PAYMENT
Payment will be processed through PAYPAL.
For large orders, payment may be received 50% initial deposit before the beginning of the project, 50% upon completion. Otherwise, payment can be sent anytime before the completion of the piece. Please send your Paypal address to me so I can create an invoice.
REFUNDS & CANCELATIONS
In the event that I cannot complete your project after starting it, a partial refund will be issued. In the event that I have received payment and your project has not been started and must be canceled, a full refund will be issued. This has never happened before, but just in case!
You can cancel your order at any time before I begin it. Orders cannot be canceled after payment is received.
PROCESS
1. Contact me with your commission request.
2. Send the details of your request. Detailed written descriptions, reference images, drawings, or anything else you have is especially helpful and appreciated.
3. I will confirm your request and provide a price quote if necessary.
4. Please note that in the event of receiving multiple orders, I work in order that the commission request was received, so you may be put on a waitlist. I will request payment only when I am ready to begin your order. If you have ordered with me before I am also happy to accept payment after completion or during the WIP process.
5. I will send you a work in progress sketch. Please detail all desired changes or alterations at this time. I suggest that every customer take at least 24 hours to look over the sketch in order to ensure that it is completely satisfactory. Please consider carefully because it is extremely difficult to implement changes later on in the process of creating your piece, and additional charges may apply.
6. After the sketch is approved, I will continue to work on the piece until completion. If requested, I can send more progress images.
7. After payment is received, I will send the full size, full quality watermark-free finished artwork. .PNG, .JPEG, .PSP, etc. are available upon request. By default, I will send high quality .PNG files. I can also send you a watermarked version for internet sharing. Due to the high amount of art theft, please do not share the full resolution unwatermarked piece online. I provide crops, resizes, watermarks, text added for free with your order.
SHIPPING OF TRADITIONAL ORDERS
For traditional mediums, I will also ship the piece to your address for additional charge.
Traditional art orders will be carefully packaged in in a transparent photo protector sleeve with a hard photo mailer casing in a sealed bubble envelop. This offers three layers of protection for your piece!
The shipping costs will vary depending on your location. National (USA) and international shipping are available to most locations.
OWNERSHIP & COMMERCIAL WORK
I maintain ownership over all personal use commission artwork. I must always be credited as the creator of the artwork. Personal use commissions may not be sold or distributed for any kind of profit or monetary value. A watermarked version of your order containing my credit or your personalized text/custom watermark must be used when sharing on internet platforms or social medias.
All customers maintain ownership of all original characters, concepts, and designs belonging to them. I maintain ownership of the artwork produced.
Commercial project ownership, distribution, and crediting will be discussed based on circumstance. Commercial pieces will have additional charges and an increase in price. The starting base price for ALL commercial pieces is $100 USD.
I am happy to work with authors for book illustrations and more.
ADDITIONAL TERMS & CONDITIONS
For canvas sizes exceeding 3000 x 3000 pixels, there will be an additional charge for an extra-large resolution, as these are more difficult and time consuming to work with.
I reserve the right to refuse any commission request for any reason. I reserve the right to cancel an order for any reason.
I reserve the right to display/include or not to display/include all finished pieces in my online portfolios and social media accounts.
I will not accept any orders containing content that I am uncomfortable with. I will not copy other artwork or mimic other art styles. Please browse my online portfolios for examples of pieces I normally create.
Polite, professional, and courteous behavior is expected at all times throughout the commission process.
Pricing
All pieces are priced in United States Dollars (USD). Payment is accepted only in USD.
Prices are based on time, materials, complexity, and effort.
